Baby cowboy boots

Made up some really cute baby cowboy booties and both sold already yea! I will adding more in the
next few days. Having a few problems with my pregancy that is keeping in bed most of the time.

New things going on over at my Etsy store. Just listed several Boo Boo bags, some addorable crochet hats and baby booties. More new items are coming soon.

Long time no post

Wow! Its been over a year without a single new post. I can't promise a constant posting but I will try to be better.

I am a member of a wonderful group on Cafemom called Cafemom streat team CST for short. One of the mom's that is a part of this same group has come up with am addorable new Cat. I know what your thinking, another cat. But these cats are the cutest I've ever seen.

Birthday gift for my daughter

As you can tell I’m not a very good blogger but I will try to do better.
My little pumpkin just had her birthday and I wanted to make her something
from mom. She loves Dora the Explorer so I decided to make Dora’s backpack complete with map, a star pocket and a star. I think it came out
cute and she loved it. I’m pretty proud that I did it with out a pattern.

Artfire

I signed up to sell on Artfire as well as Etsy. I have added new items to my Artfire store that I thought turned out great. I love the little piggy potholder. I learned how to make the korker bows for my daughter but had no where to put them so they would not get smashed. I have had an idea in my head for a while to make a crochet hair bow holder. Texas Bluebonnets

Every year I take my daughters pictures in the Bluebonnets. This year I also took my niece's. They did a great job since it was so sunny outside and they wanted the flowers more than they wanted to do the pictures. My favorite is them together. I made it black and white and added the color back to the Bluebonnets.

Finished my first knitting project

I finally finished my first knitting project. It’s just a simple
Scarf for my little one. It is made of soft yarn in a mix of pink
purple and black. The colors are hard to see in the picture but she
love’s it.

Learning something new

I finally learned how to knit. I have wanted to learn but have never had time. Last week I ended up out of town because my transmission went out. I had a lot of time on my hands so I bought a book some needles and yarn and sat down and learned the basic knit stitch and purl stitch as well as how to cast on and cast off. It is harder than crocheting. I am making a scarf for my little one to use next year and than I will try a new project.

Spring is in the Air!

Ok so I take my daughter outside to play with her two rabbits we got her. She was petting them and she turned around to talk me and daddy and wham there they go at it. She tells Midnight the male to stop it and leave Shelly alone. It was too funny but what do you say? So I had daddy put them up and we start to play in the yard and there are the mayflies going at it as well. I told hubby that Spring is in the Air!

They're banning toys, taking books from schools and libraries, hurting low income families, killing entrepreneurial spirit and risking putting the economy in an even greater depression than we've seen in decades. Then I ask you to take a few minutes to find out about it.The CPSIA stands for Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, a new set of laws that will come into effect on 10 February, 2009 and will impact many, many people in a negative way. How will these new laws affect you? Well, here are a few examples: To the Parents of Young Students:Due to the new law, expect to see the cost of school supplies sky rocket. Imagine not just products from the small business owners, but the Big Box Stores as well. You can't sell it so you must toss it. Or be potentially sued for selling it. You can't even give them away. If you are caught, it is still a violation.To the Second-Hand Shopper:Due to the new law, you will now need to spend $20 for that brand new pair of jeans for your 2-year old, rather than shop at the Goodwill for second hand. Many resale shops are eliminating children's items all together to avoid future lawsuits.To the Entrepreneur:Due to this new law, you will be forced to adhere to strict testing of your unique products or discontinue to make and/or sell them. Small businesses will be likely to be unable to afford the cost of testing and be forced to close up shop. I have not been very faithful to blogging lately. I've been busy with doing family portraits. Everyone want's there pictures yesterday. I have also been working on my crocheting and have found I am really enjoying it. I've learned how to read a pattern after all these years. I have only been able to make blankets since I learned years ago. Lately I have made and elephant, bear, dog and several other items. I will start posting some new item's soon.

Time to relax

I have decided to start crocheting again. I really enjoy it. It is relaxing and calming. I have been getting patterns together and have started a few projects. I have a box full of yarn and a ton of needle and several books. Next week I am in the middle of nowhere will no internet and nothing but time and my 2 year old. I’m hoping to be able to remember what I’m doing once I get the ball rolling.

M.I.A.

I have been missing from my life for about a week now. I went to photograph a wedding on Sat Nov 31st and when I got home my baby was sick and did not feel good. I gave her a bath and put her to bed. By the next morning see had so much trouble breathing we decided to take her to the children’s hospital to the ER. WE check her in and within 25 min. They had as in a room in the ER. To make a long story short she has Asthma. My sister in law suspected that she did when she was around 6 months and we have even asked her doctor a few times but was always told they don’t diagnose Asthma at such a young age unless they have a major attack . She was always treated as having a cold. Anyway so we make it home on Tues. afternoon and around 12 p.m. she starts vomiting and continues to do so until about 8 the next morning. We get up and take her to her pediatrician her listens to what we whet through than listens to her chest than sends back to children’s because she is concerned about pneumonia and dehydration. After several hours of waiting this time mostly to see if she was going to vomit. They finally put us in a room. This time they decide she has picked up a bug, most likely from there and they are going to put an IV in so she won’t dehydrate since she can’t keep anything down. So finally on Sat the fowling week we are home and I hope we get to stay her. She is doing much better. The vomiting has passed and now we are on to the diarria stage. And apparently hubby also got it. Yay me!

Busy time of year

And so starts my busy month. The last two days I have spent taking family holiday portraits. This starts my month that seems to never end. I have several more family set ups to do before the end of November to get them back in time for Christmas. My poor baby does not like when mommy and daddy both have to work and today she has been extra winy because her allergies are making her sick. Tomorrow I have a wedding to do so she gets to spend the day with her daddy which she always loves. I’m off to bed to get my beauty sleep. LOL!

My MIL is awesome!

I love the pillowcase dresses that I see and some of my fellow CEM Etsy moms make. I told my mother in law about this dress and she asked to see the pattern. I told her I don’t have a pattern so she asked to see a picture of one. I showed her a picture of one and within 2 hours she came up with this one for my daughter. She did this with out a pattern. I am amazed at how talented she really is. My hubby always said she made his and his sisters clothes just by looking at a picture. She also made the blankets that are now in my shop. She is a great seamstress but is not very good on the internet.

I am so frustrated!

My computer died. I am stuck with hubby's 10 year old computer that has no editing software for my pictures. I don't even have a way to put pictures on the computer to upload to Etsy. I'm hoping it will be fixed in the next couple of days without losing any of my data or pictures. Needless to say my frustration level is high!.
